About Walking Girl
Over the past few years, walking has changed my life.
I'm Walking Girl, 32-year-old ex-Londoner, recently returned to the North West. This blog is about my walking story and all the walks I currently do. I hope it'll act as a source of encouragement to others and inspiration to get out there and get walking.
So what's the deal?
Since taking up walking, I've lost four stone and feel happy, healthy, and a million times more confident in myself.
Lots of other things have contributed along the way, but walking really has made the biggest difference to my life. It was the main contributing factor to my weight loss, which of course has made me happier in myself, but it's also the feeling of being out and about and active that I've really appreciated.
More than that, it's connected me with like-minded people, given me the confidence to try out new sports and activities, got me out in the beautiful British countryside, and helped me change my career. Plus it saves me a hell of a lot of money on transport! It's made such a big difference to my life that my other half has taken it up too, and I'm hoping that by extolling the joys of walking on this blog I'll inspire even more people to do the same.
Come walk with me!
